A "Giant Night Out" for Oakland Boys and Girls
August, 2003 -- Infield Advantage, the largest authorized reseller of San Francisco Giants baseball tickets is taking Boys and Girls Club of Oakland youth out to the ball game of Sept. 12.
For many of the children, this will be their first adventure at Pacific Bell Park, and their first opportunity to see the National League Champion San Francisco Giants in action as they square off that night against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Boys and Girls Club of Oakland provides programs and services for youth ages 6 through 17. Activities foster character development experiences, opportunities to develop ongoing relationships with caring adults, and instill a sense of responsibility and belonging.
"Opportunities like “Giant Night Out” make a world of difference in our work with deserving young people. This provides an opportunity for our young people to see and experience places and activities that they wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to,” said the center’s Executive Director, Cal Stanley.
This is one of several projects Infield Advantage is currently working on with local youth organizations, charities, and corporation sponsors.
This particular event includes transportation, meal, tickets and other fun-filled activities for children of low-income families.
“Our goal is to help them experience the joys of baseball at Pacific Bell Park which is a unique ball park for a front running team,” noted Ben Meyer, Infield Advantage’s director of marketing. “The park with its miniature T-Ball Park and beautiful views was designed to entertain all ages and interests.”
Infield Advantage, Inc. provides individual game tickets, group seating, and multi-game plans.
